A client brought us a classic 1970s Airstream International Overlander – a 26-foot icon of American travel. Let’s take a look at how we completely restored it, starting with removing everything inside and finishing with a full transformation, both interior and exterior.

Airstream Interior Design Project
We created a custom interior from scratch – with modern comfort, smart layout, and unique design details.
Custom Airstream Exterior
To improve the structure, we removed the wheel arches, cut and cleaned the wheels, painted them, filled with concrete, and reinstalled, making the floor completely flat. The trailer is now fully connected to city water, 110V power, and a drain system, and sits securely on six jacks.
We also built two custom decks:
- A rear deck with an outdoor shower and a utility box for the AC and water heater
- A front deck with entry steps for easy access
Airstream Interior
We completely rebuilt the interior of this Airstream from the ground up. After removing all existing elements, we installed new electrical wiring and added a brand-new aluminum interior skin – secured with 2,533 rivets – then painted it for a clean, modern look.
All interior components were custom-built, including the bed, cabinets, and sliding doors. The cabinetry was crafted from high-quality plywood with a white oak veneer for a natural, stylish finish.
The trailer is fully equipped with a toilet, fridge, microwave, air conditioner, water heater, and roof vents with fans. We also added exclusive interior lighting and dimmer switches to create a warm and adjustable atmosphere.
