Ford Transit Conversion Van Interior for a Mobile Business

This Ford Transit came to us with a clear goal: create a cleaner, more professional interior for a future mobile business. We rebuilt the walls and ceiling, giving the space a fresh and finished look. This Ford Transit conversion van interior project is a great example of how a thoughtful remodel can transform a van. The owner had already worked with Custom Way on this Ford Transit. Previously, we installed its electrical system, batteries, and solar panels. Later, she returned after the first interior finish did not meet her expectations. The van was planned as a mobile facial massage studio.

We removed the existing wall and ceiling finishes and rebuilt these areas. Our team installed new wall panels and created a slatted ceiling. We also integrated recessed lights and long LED strips along both sides. The goal was a cleaner, more professional interior for daily business use.

For the ceiling, we used acoustic wood slat panels with an MDF core. The slats feature a wood-look veneer and a dark polyester backing. This layered construction combines a decorative finish with sound-absorbing properties. Similar panels are designed for easy cutting and interior installation.

The finished interior now looks brighter, warmer, and much more polished. Wood tones add character, while the linear lighting emphasizes the van’s length. Most importantly, the updated space gives the owner a practical base for her future mobile studio.
